Software and web applications

Business software built around how you actually work

Dashboards, booking and CRM systems, customer portals, internal tools and the modernisation of systems that have outlived their software. Senior engineering in Laravel and Vue, with a discovery sprint first so the quote is fixed before the build starts.

How it works

  1. Discovery sprint

Workshops, assessment, architecture and a phased roadmap with budget ranges.

    Typically 1–3 weeks

  2. Fixed quote

Scope, milestones and payments agreed in writing from the roadmap.

    Typically 1 week

  3. Build in milestones

Four milestones, each delivering something you can use, paid 25% at a time.

    Typically 6–16 weeks

  4. Run in parallel

For replacements, the old and new systems run side by side until you are confident.

    Typically 2–4 weeks

  5. Support

A support retainer keeps it patched, monitored and improving.

    Typically Ongoing

Questions people ask

What is a discovery sprint and why does it come first?
A fixed-fee week (or three, for a platform) of workshops and technical assessment that ends in a written roadmap with budget ranges. It turns a vague brief into a plan you can act on, with us or with anyone else, and it is credited against the build if you go ahead within 30 days.
How much does a web application cost?
From £15,000 for one workflow and one user role with no integrations. Most projects, with several roles, reporting and a couple of integrations, land between £25,000 and £50,000. The discovery sprint gives you a fixed figure before anything is built.
Can you integrate with the systems we already use?
Almost certainly. Xero, HubSpot, booking tools, payment providers and anything with an API. Integrations are priced from £2,000 each and include error handling and alerts so a failed sync is never silent.
Our current system is undocumented and only one person understands it. Can you still modernise it?
Yes, and that situation is the usual one. The assessment documents how the system behaves today, including the parts nobody wrote down, and both systems run in parallel until you are confident nothing has been lost.
What happens after launch?
A support retainer at £450 a month covers five hours of updates, monitoring and fixes, with hours rolling over. Larger changes are quoted as small projects.
